SHELLAC by CND

I know I know. It's been FAR too long since I've updated this beauty blog. Things have been a little hectic, and my internet has been up and down over the last month and a half. But, alas, I am back to blogging on a semi full time basis.

There has been a lot of cool things for spring in the way of makeup and nails, so I'm not even sure where to begin!!! I guess the first thing I will tell you about it "SHELLAC"! I am very excited about this new nail trend, which is essentially a UV nail colour that last 2 weeks! That's right, no chipping, no peeling, and actually good for your nails! I received a Shellac manicure two days ago, and my nails feel so smooth and healthy. They haven't chipped or discoloured at ALL, and just like UV gel nails, the result is super shiny happy nails! The other great thing about this "polish" is that it is COMPLETELY dry in 3 minutes, unlike regular nail polish the in theory, takes up to three hours to curate to your nails completely. My manicurist was charging only $10 more than a regular manicure for this service,. which reminds me,CND's Shellac should only be applied by a professional esthetician, and can only be removed with 100% acetone.
